Laguna Rosa Salinas de Torrevieja – Unique microclimate

Laguna Rosa – The undoubted attraction of Torrevieja is the nearby salt lagoon from which salt is extracted to this day. Thanks to salt resources in Torrevieja there is a unique microclimate, recognized by the World Health Organization as one of the healthiest places in the world. It is a natural park where everyone can take advantage of the wealth of the lagoon. Some people come to Torrevieja every year just to take advantage of the healing mud. Laguna Salada in Torrevieja is the largest Salt Lake in Europe. The colour pink is a natural phenomenon caused by a specific type of algae and salt water-loving microorganisms. Bathing in a pink lake is very healthy. The Spanish lake Salina de Torrevieja attracts huge numbers of tourists to its shores. The bath has a healing effect, has anti-inflammatory properties and soothes the skin. The skin becomes smooth and delicate. What do such baths give? The mud of the lagoon contains, among others potassium, calcium, magnesium, sulphur, silica and many other valuable minerals. The pH ranges from 7.12 to 8.45. Mud has an anti-inflammatory and soothing effect on the skin, the skin becomes soft and smooth, and people who have problems with various skin eruptions, e.g. acne, inflammation, psoriasis, etc. can use the so-called white mud, which is also located at Laguna Rosa. Baths are of great use in rheumatic diseases, as well as, for example, the circulatory system, respiratory system, etc. Thanks to the compounds found in the mud, as well as in the lagoon itself, the treatments here have a beneficial effect on our body. Blood circulation is improved and many toxins are removed from the body. And to think that all of this can be combined with a stay at the seaside, and a mud bath here is completely free.
