The Costa Blanca region is one of the most wonderful regions where we can find a lot of local vineyards where we can learn about the history of each vineyard, its production and it is also important to participate in the tasting. Spain is a country of beautiful sandy beaches, clear crystal water, a country of great food and a wine . Wine is definitely one of the most refined and varied drinks so loved by the Spanish. During the tour of the vineyard, we will find out what makes up it’s taste. The whole trip will be emphasized by specially selected local snacks called tapas. After the trip, you can go to the winery’s shop to buy wine in bottles and even in barrels. We guarantee that it will be an amazing experience that will leave wonderful and unforgettable memories.

List of vineyards in the Costa Blanca region:

1. Bodegas Enrique Mendoza – The Enrique Mendoza vineyards are located a short distance from Benidorm, the Guadalest Valley and the Algar waterfalls in the small town of Alfas del Pi. Tickets can be purchased at the winery or online. The first stage of the trip is a walk through the entire vineyard where the guide will tell the whole story of its creation, we will get to see the whole process of wine growing and harvesting and finally we will see how the wine is produced, bottled and poured. The second stage, the most anticipated one, tasting. Tasting is a great part of the trip during which we can integrate with the whole group and personally talk to the owner of the winery. The tasting lasts one hour under which we have the opportunity to taste the vineyard’s products with carefully selected Spanish tapas. Languages ​​in which it is possible to arrange a trip: English, Spanish and French. Price: 22 € – price for 2022.

2. Bodegas Xalo – Bodegas Xalo has a tradition of over 50 years and is guided by the spirit of innovation, guaranteeing the highest quality of its wines. We can find here a huge selection of wines sweet alcoholic beverages, unbelievably tasty vermouth. Vineyard tour and tasting take place at strictly agreed times, but we can only use the tasting, then after going to the winery shop, we can taste the wine before buying. When booking a wine tasting combined with a vineyard tour, we also receive a gift in the form of a bottle of wine. The whole trip takes 90 minutes. Languages ​​in which it is possible to arrange a trip: English, Spanish, French and German.

3. Bodegas Faelo – Faelo Vineyard in Elche is a family vineyard with tradition, history and character. Excursions for guests are carried out by the owner himself. During one of the two options of the trip, we will taste her wines in the company of local cheeses, homemade bread and Spanish sausages. We will learn the art of viticulture from experienced winemakers, the process of making wine and the history of the vineyard.

The tour lasts 1.5 hours and the second 2 hours. The price includes visiting the vineyards, tasting 4 wines and local tapas. Tours are organized only upon prior reservation.

4. Bodegas Vina Elena – A vineyard with tradition and strong family roots. One of the few experiences visitors will encounter in the vineyard is a lot of interesting information about history, objects and techniques of wine. Guests have the opportunity to meet the vineyards and owners personally and, above all, visit the vineyards and become participants in wine tasting in the company of the traditional cuisine of the region. Winery Vina Elena I suggest a few different options to take advantage of their offer, which we present below:

– Guided tour of the vineyard and property + tasting of 3 wines + tasting of olive oil + tapas.

– Guided tour of the vineyard, grape plantations and properties + tasting of 3 wines + tasting of olive oil + tapas – min. 12 people – max. 50 people.

– Guided tour of the vineyard, plantation and property + tasting of 3 wines + tasting of olive oil + traditional Spanish dinner. Min 10 people. Available only from autumn to spring from 10:00 to 13:00.

5. Bodegas Luzon – A trip to the wine world, Bodegas Luzon opens its doors to all wine lovers. All visits involve visiting the vineyard, the production department and the place where the current wines and sanctuary are stored, in which the last bottles of each year are stored – And this is a real treasure. At the end there is a wine tasting in the company of appetizers and tapas, and finally a farewell gift. In addition to tasting the first vineyard tour and its surroundings, we can also take advantage of the offer of participating in the tasting course. The course is run by a specially trained team of winemakers where they use their knowledge in the area of ​​spreading knowledge about wine, its culture and features. Through our senses of smell, taste and consistency, we will learn to distinguish, choose and recommend a type of wine. 6. Bodegas Chorro – It is a shop rather than a vineyard. We will find here many types of wine from many surrounding vineyards. If you care only for shopping and supplying your collection, this is the right place because here you will find many types of alcohol, wines and liqueurs from various vineyards and even naturals of honey or olive oil.

7. Bodegas Piqueras – The Piqueras vineyard is located in Almansa, well despite the fact that it is a vineyard with traditions and over 100 years of history but we will not use traditional tasting here. You will be delighted with the information that we can easily buy wines in the vineyard shop and even taste before buying. Wines are not very good at very affordable prices. Certainly while being in Almansa we will not be bored because we have the most important attraction of the city – the castle. Interesting fact – in the small town of Novelda, distance from Almansa is about 15 km, you will find a wonderful vineyard where we can enjoy wine tasting (see: Bodegas Cesilia).

8. Bodegas las Virtudes – A vineyard tour gives visitors a close look at the history of the city of Viellen through one of its most famous elements: wine and the surrounding culture. We will learn about the history of the vineyard, we will see the work of the whole team working on the success of the vineyard and we will learn step by step about the wine production process. The tasting takes place in the company of local olive oil and locally produced cold meats. Viellena is a very interesting city with traditions, it is worth combining a trip with visiting the castle. Viellena is located about 45 km from Agost.

9. Bodegas Cesilia – The Arias family, together with a highly qualified team of specialists, began the wine-related adventure of life. Today, the Cesilia vineyard has become the symbol of the Mediterranean. An indispensable route for wine lovers leads through the Cesilia vineyards where you will experience an unforgettable experience. This is where you will get to know the world of wine from the inside, starting with a walk and listening to the history of the vineyard and the former estate from the eighteenth century where specialists will show the process of wine production.
